Cadogan Gardens / Chelsea

The Cadogan Gardens project consisted in the refurbishment of a Chelsea mansard apartment in the proximity of Sloane Square. Mantovani Architects managed this project from initial design to completion.

The existing sculptural shape of the living room ceiling was counterbalanced by our design of the two bookcases created by playing with the contrast of the bright light coming from the row of windows that run along the entire length of one of the living room wall.

In the composition of closed and open units, the main bookcase includes the fireplace, television & multimedia and a wine cabinet. Feature lighting, recessed into the cabinets, creates accents of light within the profile of the roof.
In the opposite side of the apartment, the master bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite master bathroom were completely transformed by our selection of bespoke furniture, furnishing and lighting to create an elegant and private area.

The resulting apartment is bright and airy. The extensive use of dark Wenge wood flooring unifies the design of the space, whilst the white of the walls and fitted cabinetry lighten up the whole interior.

At night the chamfered ceiling of the living room is lit up and creates a calming atmosphere.
